About The Position

Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. This is a seasonal hourly position with an estimated pay range of $17.25/hr to $20.30/hr depending on qualifications and experience. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Interacting directly with customers at various service bars (Bakery, BBQ, Coffee, Deli, Demo, Fish, Ice Cream, Meat, and Produce) in handing out samples of various products.
• Answering customers questions about the sample and offering recommendations about product pairings.
• Managing pop up stations, as needed.
• Setting up your designated section for the day.
• Maintaining quality demos all day for customers to sample, working with department in replenishing products.
• Answering questions about products.
• Greeting customers and engaging in conversations.
• Cleaning equipment used for product.
• Learning different items in each department.
