About The Position

Quality Moments is seeking a passionate, engaging, and knowledgeable Dementia Training Specialist to lead educational programs, develop training content, and promote dementia awareness throughout Ohio. The ideal candidate combines professional training and presentation abilities with personal lived experience caring for or supporting a loved one living with dementia. This firsthand experience is an essential qualification for the role and helps ensure authentic, practical, and compassionate education for the individuals and organizations we serve. Requirements

  • Strong public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to engage and educate adult learners.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.
  • Comfort with technology, virtual training platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Ohio
  • Personal lived experience caring for or supporting a loved one living with dementia.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing training, education, coaching, or professional presentations.
  • Experience working with older adults, caregivers, healthcare professionals, or community organizations.
  • Knowledge of dementia care best practices and person-centered care approaches.
  • Experience in healthcare, senior services, behavioral health, education, or a related field.
  • Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) or similar dementia-related certification preferred.
  • Experience developing educational content, training materials, or community education programs

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging dementia-focused training programs.
  • Facilitate in-person, virtual, and hybrid educational sessions.
  • Create presentations, educational materials, guides, and learning resources.
  • Serve as a resource on dementia care best practices and person-centered approaches.
  • Build relationships with healthcare providers, senior centers, caregiver groups, and community organizations.
  • Represent Quality Moments at conferences, workshops, health fairs, and community events.
  • Support development of new dementia education programs and outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain training records, participation data, and program outcomes.
  • Stay current on dementia care trends, research, and industry best practices.
