About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate Caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, and DSPs to provide non-medical in-home dementia care for a client in Crown Point, Indiana. We are looking for dependable caregivers who are patient, calm, attentive, and experienced or comfortable working with seniors living with dementia or memory loss. We provide compassionate, dependable in-home care that helps individuals remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. Our care is rooted in dignity, respect, and personalized support, allowing clients to maintain their quality of life where they feel happiest. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Preferred experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s care, caregiving, CNA, HHA, PCA, or DSP work
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to pass a background check
• CPR certification and TB test preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable using a smartphone for communication and scheduling

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and dementia support
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene
• Help with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
• Provide safety supervision and redirection as needed
• Support daily routines and engagement activities
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Use mobile app for scheduling and documentation
• Follow agency safety and infection control procedures
