About The Position

The Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for proactively taking steps to improve visibility of consolidated current and future demand through the internal supply chain. This role is key in the ability to help the supply chain deliver on time as well as be prepared for future demand requirements in a way to drive long-term customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Associates degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in operations and process improvement role required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, organizational development, or a related discipline preferred.
• Certification in TQM, Lean, Six Sigma or PMI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact to prioritize demand and expediting requests during times of capacity constraints
• Proactively work with the sales organization to gather reliable forecast data from key customers and then uses that information with the supply chain to ensure consistent sources of supply
• Proactively work with the Americas Supply Chain Management team to manage work orders and make process improvements
• Educate the sales team on forecasting and demand planning, recommending as necessary continuous improvement methods
• Serve as the primary point of internal communication on current capacity through the supply chain
• Serve as the Industrial Americas point person for rapid response due to capacity issues through the supply chain
• Represent Industrial Marketing Americas on monthly Operations Planning meetings and quarterly S&OP meetings.
• Facilitate Bi-Weekly Internal S&OP Update Calls
• Proactively drive the S&OP Model implementation at TSS sites where JDE ERP is utilized and where it is not.
