About The Position

The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving demand forecasts to execute efficient production, inventory management, and customer service. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to translate market insights and business assumptions into accurate, actionable demand plans. This position requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to drive data-informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, or a related role.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP), preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead demand forecasting processes across assigned categories, customers, or business units.
  • Develop and maintain short-, mid- and long-term demand forecasts at appropriate levels of aggregation.
  • Analyze historical sales, promotions, seasonality, market trends, and customer behavior to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning to align forecasts with business plans.
  • Lead and support monthly demand review and S&OP / IBP processes.
  • Evaluate forecast accuracy, bias, and drivers; define and execute corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and bias using KPIs (e.g., MAPE, Bias) and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Finance and Marketing to incorporate promotions, customer insights, and market intelligence into forecasts.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the demand outlook and proactively communicate impacts.
  • Continuously improving forecasting processes, tools, and data quality.
  • Document assumptions, methodologies, and changes to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Clearly communicate assumptions, insights, and recommendations.
  • Support scenario planning and what-if analysis for business decisions.
