About The Position

The Demand Planner is primarily responsible for analyzing inventory levels on assigned accounts or commodity item groups, making purchases to sustain demand, achieving a goal of 97.5% fill rate, and providing support to their assigned Inventory Management Team. This role involves account and commodity management of low to medium difficulty, executing forecast changes, and generating various reports to maintain inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Demand Planner highly preferred.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent computer, organizational and communication skills.
  • PC proficiency including strong Excel is required.
  • AWR is a plus.
  • Must be service driven and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Will need to certify in E3 at Level I and II.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory levels on assigned accounts and/or commodity item groups.
  • Make purchases to sustain demand.
  • Achieve a goal of 97.5% fill rate.
  • Provide support to their assigned Inventory Management Team.
  • Account management/Commodity Management – low to medium level of difficulty.
  • Assist in analyzing inventory levels to forecast needs.
  • Execute forecast changes.
  • Issue POs manually and via AWR.
  • Generate and maintain run out reports and open PO reports.
  • Maintain AWR.
  • Review and follow-up on daily and weekly reports.
  • Follow up on open purchase orders.
  • Expedite purchase orders as needed.
  • Assist Supervisor in managing turns and review of aged inventory.
  • Coordinate New Store Programs.
  • PPV maintenance.
  • Investigate and resolve A/P issues.
  • Research receiving and packaging discrepancies and proactively resolve issues.
  • Process returns to vendors.
  • Process inventory write-off paperwork for the team.
  • Identify cost changes and work with the Supervisor to execute.
