Refinish Demand Planner This role is responsible for all demand planning activities supporting assigned brands or products. Responsible for balancing demand plan per segment to support targets consistent with customer service levels, collaborating with product manager(s) on new product introduction to meet or beat timelines, collaborate with business functions and represent the supply chain demand planning team, and analyze inventory turn targets (IDS) relative to the demand plan. Indirect managerial responsibilities and/or provide functional guidance to other work streams (i.e. customer service, production planning, master scheduling, detailed scheduling, procured planning, sales and marketing teams) within the business. The role requires strong collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager, Sales, Product, Technical, and Customer Service to meet critical business goals. Axalta operates its business in two segments: Performance Coatings and Mobility Coatings, which serve four end markets, including Refinish, Industrial, Light Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle, across North America, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related discipline or.
  • Minimum three (5) years of relevant work experience in a planning function for a manufacturing company.
  • Proficient in S4/IBP
  • End to end process understanding of Buy, Make, Sell, Deliver
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand and replenishment processes (MRP & DRP).
  • Experience of Planning of batch processes in coatings or related industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing short term projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
  • MS office applications with strong Excel skill base

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge of Six Sigma certification & Knowledge of Lean Methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform supply and demand analysis highlighting areas of concern for the next months & quarters based on static and dynamic data sources.
  • Provide insight and capability on all material strategies; involves checking finished product materials and availability of capacity with root cause analysis.
  • Review sales forecast with supply chain manager and demand manager monthly and suggest modifications consistent with knowledge of current or historical demand.
  • Resolve conflicts developed in planning system to improve demand planning on a material level, customer level or location level.
  • Timely review of key metrics including MAPE, forecast accuracy, planning tool conflicts, NPIP introductions, IBP demand reviews.
  • Support the IBP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, demand planning with collaboration from product, marketing and sales.
  • Participate in cross functional projects to improve supply and customer demand.
