About The Position

The Demand Planner will collaborate with the internal team at Kondex to create an achievable production plan that aligns with our customers’ needs and our internal ability to execute. The Demand Planner will use data analytics and sales insights to plan manufacturing activities to maximize efficiencies and ensure internal and external customer demands are consistently met. This role involves making proactive decisions based on material and equipment availability to ensure products are manufactured on time, assisting in setting and maintaining inventory levels, and facilitating the cycle count process. The Demand Planner will also assist sales and customer service teams with order expediting, work with Purchasing to expedite outside process orders, collaborate with the internal team on new product development and production plan implementation, and provide input to the Sales and Operations Planning Process. Active participation in capacity planning and information systems improvements is also expected.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of manufacturing experience in a complex, integrated manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, economics or related fields, or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • One or more years with Epicor or advanced ERP software experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables
  • Five or more years of scheduling experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Using data analytics and sales insights, plan Manufacturing activities to maximize efficiencies and ensure our internal and external customer demands are consistently met.
  • Make decisions based on material and equipment availability proactively to ensure products are manufactured on time.
  • Assist in setting and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Facilitate the cycle count process, performing weekly audits of Team Leader counts, and maintain and communicate related reports and KPI’s.
  • Assist the sales and customer service teams to expedite customer orders as needed.
  • Work with Purchasing to expedite outside process orders as needed.
  • Work with internal team on new product development and implement production plan.
  • Provide input to the Sales and Operations Planning Process.
  • Actively participate in capacity planning.
  • Actively participate in information systems improvements.
