About The Position

The Demand and Operations Planning Analyst aligns operations with supply chain capabilities and optimizes inventory. The role supports the Global Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and strategic and tactical supply chain metric reporting and analysis. It also focuses on monthly collaborative forecasting between Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations, and on timely, accurate reporting and analysis using SAP, Excel, and other technology to support effective procurement and inventory management.

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Business, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in SIOP and data analysis for supply chain management, operations, and/or finance; manufacturing operations experience preferred.
Understanding of Supply Chain Management best practices.
Advanced user of SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases.
Advanced analytical and presentation skills.
Strong computer skills and demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages such as Microsoft Office.
Ability to multitask and handle quick turnaround.
Ability to identify problems and escalate them and/or execute acceptable solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with customers, suppliers, and employees and managers at all levels.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to maintain a safe work environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with manufacturing operations.
Experience in ERP systems; SAP experience is desired.

Responsibilities

Build and update monthly statistical demand forecasts using historical sales, market trends, and the CRM opportunity funnel.
Partner with manufacturing and operational supply chain teams to assess production capacity and capability against forecasted demand.
Prepare data for and support SIOP meetings, including monthly data files and cross-functional meetings.
Monitor stock levels and reorder points in ERP systems in collaboration with operational supply chain team members to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Track forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, days inventory, and excess/obsolete inventory metrics.
Participate in monthly forecasting with Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations; receive, analyze, and enter customer-submitted forecasts into the demand planning process.
Compare statistical forecasts with projected sales trends to identify and correct inventory imbalances, and analyze system and customer forecast data for integrity.
Meet regularly with the Operational SCM Team to drive inventory optimization and participate in forecast improvement initiatives with Sales, Procurement, and Operations.
Assist in managing excess and obsolete inventory, emphasizing channels for moving it.
Monitor and report the business unit’s supply chain performance using timely, appropriate metrics.
Ensure SAP setup and tools are accurate and usable for SCM team members.
Work with Supply Chain stakeholders to develop ad hoc reporting and perform data mining.
Train SCM employees on Excel, SAP, Power BI, and other software and technology; serve as the Power BI subject matter expert.
Report metrics that drive improvement, including cost tracking database, PPV, and PPI reporting.
Develop standardized tools in Excel, SAP, and Power BI, such as macros, auto-release tools, and pivot tables, to improve efficiency and accuracy in spend management.
Develop, write, edit, and maintain departmental standard work.
