About The Position

The Demand and EDI Analyst is responsible for managing and reviewing customer releases, purchase orders, and EDI transmissions to ensure accuracy and timely processing within the ERP system. This customer-facing role serves as the in-house expert for manual releases and release investigations, identifying discrepancies, escalating concerns to internal and external stakeholders, and supporting ongoing EDI implementation and onboarding activities. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, ERP experience (preferably Plex), and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to recognize issues, communicate effectively, and continuously develop troubleshooting expertise.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, supply chain, EDI coordination, order management, or manufacturing administration preferred.
  • Experience working within an ERP system required; Plex ERP experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with EDI processes and customer releases preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data review and tracking.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or process issues.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Customer-facing communication experience preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with customers, schedulers, program managers, and operations teams.
  • Willingness to learn troubleshooting and issue resolution processes independently over time.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer releases and order revisions to identify discrepancies, duplicate releases, and version conflicts.
  • Investigate release issues caused by older versus newer revisions and coordinate resolution efforts with customers, program managers, schedulers, and internal teams.
  • Monitor and process manual releases as the in-house subject matter expert.
  • Effectively handle customer service requirements by monitoring system and communicating with plant teams.
  • Identify errors or inconsistencies in releases/orders and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Track and document release changes by customer to ensure accurate order management and production planning.
  • Enter and maintain customer purchase orders within the ERP system.
  • Review daily EDI transmissions to confirm successful processing and identify transmission issues.
  • Coordinate new customer onboarding activities related to EDI implementation.
  • Work with ERP system facilitators and customers to establish new EDI connections, including: Reviewing EDI specification documents, Coordinating customer label requirements, Supporting system setup and validation activities.
  • Assist with implementing supplier EDI integrations.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and internal departments regarding release status, order changes, and system concerns.
  • Develop the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve release and EDI issues over time.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to release management and EDI processes.
