About The Position

Berkley Environmental is looking for an enthusiastic experienced EDI Analyst to partner between IT and our business units to monitor, support and maintain our business-critical Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) workflow. Serves as a conduit between our business units, IT and Regulatory Reporting departments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 7 of years of related IT experience
Experience working with EDI Release 3.0 and 3.1 for all states is a must
Experience working with a commercial insurance carrier with exposure to auto, liability and workers’ compensation lines of business
Strong knowledge of various of technical designs and specifications
Partner closely with business user community to ensure cross-functional alignment to meet goals with an excellent sense of customer service
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Strong problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiating skills
Excellent organizational skills while working on multiple project initiatives, managing schedules and meeting deadlines
Superior logical, analytical and reasoning abilities with close attention to detail
Experience working in a large, matrixed environment where leadership, co-workers and necessary resources can come from different geographical regions

Responsibilities

Support, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain EDI transactions for Workers’ Compensation First Report of Injury (FROI), Workers’ Compensation Subsequent Report of Injury (SROI), Medicare and ISO
Maintains data dictionaries and maps on inbound and outbound transactions
Identify and implement process improvements
Provide training to business users on EDI related policies and procedures
Develop and maintain EDI documentation
Analyze and identify data issues that require an override in core systems and/or assistance with data mapping between systems
Prepare written business requirements that represent the business need and that are grammatically correct
Effectively communication with internal teams and external vendors to deliver functional requirements like user screen and interface designs
Perform all other duties as assigned
