About The Position

The Deluxer / Final Inspector is responsible for inspecting finished upholstered furniture to ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications. This position ensures the accurate and orderly flow of finished product from Trim through Final Inspection and works closely with production team members and management to identify and resolve quality issues.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing inspection, quality control, furniture inspection, upholstery, or final inspection preferred.
  • Two years of furniture inspection, quality control, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to identify defects and inconsistencies in finished products.
  • Ability to read and follow production specifications and work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, handle, and carry 25+ pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently bend, twist, stoop, reach, and handle furniture and materials.

Nice To Haves

  • LEAN Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished upholstered furniture for quality, accuracy, and adherence to production specifications.
  • Verify style numbers and product specifications.
  • Inspect finished nail application and overall appearance.
  • Inspect sectionals and other components for proper fit and alignment.
  • Inspect sewing details, seams, tailoring, and overall workmanship.
  • Verify that seams and patterns are properly aligned.
  • Apply appropriate deck labels and verify required product labeling.
  • Scan production tickets and verify information for accuracy.
  • Cross-check law labels to ensure they are accurate and properly applied.
  • Identify quality issues and communicate concerns to the Final Inspector/Lead and appropriate production personnel.
  • Work with co-workers and management to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
