About The Position

We are seeking a Dell Infrastructure Deployment Engineer to implement and configure Dell enterprise hardware at customer sites across the NYC metro region. This person will also travel the entire East Coast to help support customer deployments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on deployment experience with one or more of the following Dell technologies: PowerEdge Servers PowerStore PowerVault Top-of-rack network switches (Dell and/or Cisco) VX Rail Data Domain This role requires a professional who is comfortable working at various sites throughout the NYC metro area during the week, and also traveling throughout the northeastern United States frequently. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary based on customer needs.

Requirements

  • US Citizen (required).
  • Hands-on deployment experience with at least one of the Dell technologies listed.
  • Ability to lift and rack equipment (up to 40 lbs).
  • Willingness to occasionally work nights or weekends as required.
  • Must be open to training and certification programs as needed.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to customer locations (some air travel may be required).
  • Dell certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Dell server, storage, or networking certifications.
  • Experience with enterprise IT deployments in data center environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles (switching, VLANs, basic routing).
  • Familiarity with firmware updates, RAID configurations, and virtualization.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites within the NYC metro area to deploy and configure Dell infrastructure.
  • Unbox, rack, and cable hardware according to provided specifications and schematics.
  • Power on, upgrade firmware, and perform initial system setup.
  • Implement and configure servers, storage, and networking to meet customer requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with customer IT teams to ensure successful deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during installation.
  • Must reside in the NYC metro area and be willing to travel to customer sites.
  • Must be comfortable jumping on a plane to support customer sites along the east coast - from Maine to Florida.
