The Driver role is responsible for safely delivering products to customers in a timely and professional manner while supporting warehouse operations and ensuring high standards of service, safety, and accuracy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Chauffeurs license required, CDL preferred.
  • Successful completion of a DOT physical.
  • Good, verifiable driving record (driver’s motor vehicle report is run and reviewed by our insurance company biannually).
  • Successful completion of internal driving skills assessment required.
  • Must conduct self professionally when dealing with customers and staff.
  • Basic PC skills with MS Office Products required.
  • Operate computer terminal and other computer related equipment relevant to job duties.
  • High level of initiative, commitment, and devotion to fulfill company mission statement.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with local driving area and previous delivery experience preferred.
  • CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate various delivery vehicles.
  • Transport products and material to and from specified destinations.
  • Load and unload the delivery vehicle.
  • Maintain radio contact with supervisor/leader/manager to receive delivery or pick up instructions.
  • Check truck’s equipment and supplies to ensure road worthiness.
  • Notify supervisor/leader/manager of current or anticipated repairs.
  • Collect payment for C.O.D. orders.
  • Perform filling, checking, and packaging of orders for shipment.
  • Aid throughout the warehouse upon request from supervisor/leader/manager.
  • Frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position product weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products.
  • Typically bend, stoop and/or crouch from various heights on a regular basis to stock or deliver product to a customer.
  • Operate forklift: proper training and certification required.
  • May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies & handcart).
  • Clean truck and maintain work area to ensure compliance to safety regulations.
  • Assist in creating, implementing and revising work procedures and instructions.
  • Support the quality initiatives set forth by the region.
