About The Position

At Amarr Garage Doors, a part of ASSA ABLOY, we are seeking the best people to join our team as a Delivery Truck Driver in Rochester, NY. This is a physically demanding role requiring consistent heavy lifting in a non-climate controlled environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in these conditions and committed to providing excellent service.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience required (2+ years preferred).
• Minimum 1 year experience driving box trucks or similar.
• Warehouse duties performed in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Must be able to read and speak English per DOT guidelines.
• Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (50-75 lbs.).
• Ability to meet and comply with DOT regulations.
• Successfully complete internal Driver Training Program.
• Motor Vehicle report must meet Amarr’s driver standards.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of delivery driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner while strictly following Amarr’s policies spelled out in the Driver Handbook (including pre-trip, inspections, log books, safe driving, etc.).
• Keep all drivers certification documents ready and available for display at all times.
• Assist in the completion of production orders in warehouse when not driving.
• Accurately load & unload customers. (Inspect for damaged materials).
• Unload and accurately receive incoming product.
