About The Position

At Amarr Garage Doors, a part of ASSA ABLOY, we are seeking the best people to join our team as a Delivery Truck Driver in Calgary. This role is physically demanding, involving consistent heavy lifting in a non-climate controlled environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working under these conditions and committed to providing excellent service.

Requirements

Valid driver's license (required).
Air Brake/”Q” Endorsement (strongly preferred) or the ability to obtain this endorsement.
Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience required (2+ years preferred).
Minimum 1 year experience driving box trucks or similar.
Warehouse duties performed in a non-climate controlled environment.
Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (50-75 lbs.).
Ability to meet and comply with driver regulations.
Successfully complete internal Driver Training Program
Motor Vehicle report must meet Amarr’s driver standards
Must be 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

2+ years of delivery driving experience
Ability to obtain Air Brake/”Q” Endorsement

Responsibilities

Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner while strictly following Amarr’s policies spelled out in the Driver Handbook (including pre-trip, inspections, log books, safe driving, etc.).
Keep all drivers certification documents ready and available for display at all times.
Assist in the completion of production orders in warehouse when not driving.
Accurately load & unload customers. (Inspect for damaged materials).
Unload and accurately receive incoming product.
