About The Position

RSM is hiring an experienced, client-facing Project Manager to lead Microsoft 365 and infrastructure projects. The role manages full deployments from discovery and planning through implementation, cutover, hypercare, and post-cutover support. The Project Manager oversees timelines, budgets, risks, communications, and deliverables to support client satisfaction, effective implementation, and project profitability. Projects include SharePoint and Exchange migrations, Modern Desktop deployments, virtual desktop infrastructure initiatives, M365 Purview projects, and cloud or data center projects, including engagements valued at more than $250,000. The role also coordinates technical remediation work in regulated environments, maintains client relationships, supports business development, and coaches engagement teams. RSM describes most roles as hybrid, with employees aligned to an office and meeting in person when it supports client, team, development, or relationship needs; some roles may be virtual or primarily on-site based on requirements.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience managing Microsoft 365 and infrastructure projects.
Experience leading complete deployments from discovery through post-cutover support.
Experience managing hypercare periods and projects valued at more than $250,000.
Demonstrated knowledge of CUI, ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFARS, and other government contracting terminology.
Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and the CMMC Level 2 assessment process, including system security plans, plans of action and milestones, scoping, and evidence collection.
Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong project, time, risk, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience creating end-user documentation and communications.
Ability to work directly with clients and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Lead execution of client engagements individually or as part of a team.
Manage deployments from discovery and planning through cutover, hypercare, and post-cutover support.
Lead Microsoft 365 and infrastructure projects valued at more than $250,000, including migrations, desktop and virtual desktop deployments, Purview work, and cloud or data center projects.
Use established tools and techniques to deliver work aligned with client business objectives.
Deliver high-quality work within expected timeframes and approved budgets.
Deliver projects in government contracting, defense industrial base, or other regulated environments.
Plan and coordinate technical remediation with IT and security engineers across identity, network, endpoint, logging, and cloud domains, and evaluate whether controls are implemented.
Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and communicate project status and expected outcomes to clients.
Create end-user documentation, communications, and other implementation support materials.
Build client relationships through positive support, clear communication, and sound expertise.
Direct and motivate project teams, establish positive stakeholder relationships, and serve as an escalation point when needed.
Identify additional opportunities and support business development.
Mentor client engagement teams through on-the-job coaching and foster an innovative, inclusive, and team-oriented environment.
