The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join their ProServe Shared Delivery Team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, the DPM will manage a team of ProServe Delivery Consultants and support AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects. The role requires leveraging IT and/or Management Consulting background to serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams. The DPM is responsible for building and managing a team of Delivery Consultants and/or Engagement Managers who work with customers and partners to architect and implement innovative solutions. This involves engaging with Director, C-level executives, and governing boards, as well as being responsible for opportunity capture and driving engagement delivery. The DPM will collaborate closely with partner teams, drive business development initiatives through thought leadership, provide portfolio guidance and oversight, and aim to exceed customer satisfaction targets. A primary focus for DPMs, either directly or through their teams, is to understand and define business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs). Experience in leading teams within the technology sector is crucial for optimizing team performance through tailored people development plans, ensuring teams are aligned to customer needs, and possess the necessary skills and capacity. The DPM must be able to translate technical concepts into business value for customers and engage in technical discussions with teams, fostering strong relationships with customers, Amazon Global Sales (AGS), and ProServe teams. Success is measured by consistently delivering customer engagements, supporting sales by scoping technical requirements, delivering engagements on time and within budget, and exceeding customer expectations. The DPM will also hold the Practice's total utilization goal and be responsible for optimizing team performance. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts assisting customers in achieving desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud, working with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. This position requires the candidate to be a US Citizen.
