About The Position

Gulfeagle Supply is seeking motivated, hands-on Delivery Material Handlers. Working alongside a driver, the handler helps ensure building materials are properly delivered to job sites using a forklift, crane, conveyor, and/or manual handling. The company offers training opportunities to support employee development. The role involves loading, assisting with loading, and securing materials on trucks and at roof drop locations. Handlers must place and distribute materials properly on roofs, take care to prevent damage to materials and equipment, and follow safety policies. The work may involve multi-story buildings at varying heights and pitches and exposure to heat, cold, rain, or shine. Employees must interact respectfully and discreetly with customers and personnel at delivery points and branches. Employees must pass a pre-employment drug test and are subject to random substance-abuse screening under company policy. Requirements

Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb.
Ability to work on multi-story buildings at various heights and pitches.
Ability to continually lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods.
A high degree of attention to detail to ensure proper delivery and prevent damage to materials and equipment.
Ability to work in heat, cold, rain, or shine.
Ability to perform job functions safely and follow safety policies.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random substance-abuse screening.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish, as required by the branch location.
General knowledge of roofing materials, construction, and/or distribution.

Responsibilities

Load or assist in loading and securing materials on trucks and at roof drop locations.
Work alongside the driver to help deliver building materials to job sites using a forklift, crane, conveyor, and/or by hand.
Ensure proper stacking and distribution when placing materials on roofs.
Take care to ensure proper delivery while preventing damage to materials and equipment.
Handle all job functions safely and in accordance with company safety policies.
Treat customers and personnel at delivery points and branches with respect and discretion.
Perform other duties as requested.
