About The Position

Gulfeagle Supply is seeking a motivated, hands-on Delivery Material Handler to work alongside a driver and ensure building materials are properly delivered to job sites. The role involves using a forklift, crane, conveyor, and/or manual handling to load, secure, transport, and place materials, including at roof-drop locations. The position requires safe and careful handling of materials and equipment, communication with customers and branch personnel, and work in varying weather and at elevated locations. Requirements

Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb.
Ability to work on multi-story buildings at varying heights and pitches.
Ability to continually lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods.
Ability to work in heat, cold, rain, or sunshine.
A high degree of attention to ensure proper delivery and prevent damage to materials and equipment.
Ability to perform all job functions safely and comply with company safety policies.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and is subject to random substance-abuse screening under company policy.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish, as required by the branch location.
General knowledge of roofing materials, construction, and/or distribution.

Responsibilities

Load or assist in loading and securing materials on trucks and at roof-drop locations.
Work alongside the driver to ensure proper delivery of building materials to job sites.
Use a forklift, crane, conveyor, and/or manual handling to deliver and place materials.
Ensure proper stacking and distribution of materials when placing them on roofs.
Pay close attention to prevent damage to materials and equipment.
Perform all job functions safely and in accordance with company safety policies.
Show respect and discretion when interacting with customers and personnel at delivery points or at the branch.
Perform other duties as requested.
