About The Position

Evinova, a health technology business within the AstraZeneca Group, is hiring a technically fluent Delivery Manager to lead delivery of its most critical and complex products and initiatives. The role is accountable to the Delivery Director and partners directly with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to deliver high-quality software into highly regulated environments. It requires direct engagement with architecture, systems, services, APIs, data flows, technical dependencies, estimates, and trade-offs—not simply coordination or reporting. The Delivery Manager owns initiatives from framing through execution and value realization, builds technically coherent delivery plans, manages cross-team and external dependencies, identifies and resolves blockers, and anticipates integration, environment, and release risks. The role leads governance and continuous planning, maintains an accurate portfolio view, tracks delivery outcomes and financials, and translates technical realities into clear information for leadership. It also champions practical, daily use of AI tools to improve delivery work, while remaining accountable for the accuracy and clarity of outputs. The role works across Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Implementation, and external partners, including global teams. Evinova expects a minimum of three days per week in the office, while respecting individual flexibility. The stated annual base pay range is $139,929.60–$209,894.40. The position also offers a short-term incentive bonus opportunity and benefits including a qualified retirement program, paid vacation and holidays, paid leaves, and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in program or delivery management, with a proven record delivering complex, multi-team software initiatives.
  • Experience leading multi-functional programs in a technology or digital product organization; preferably in highly regulated environments with products deployed in production.
  • Technical depth to read and reason about software architecture, APIs, integrations, data flows, environments, and CI/CD pipelines, and to participate in technical design and planning discussions with senior engineers.
  • Hands-on background in software engineering, DevOps, or a comparable technical team, sufficient to break down technical work, manage cross-team technical dependencies, and challenge estimates and trade-offs.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, create structure, and drive outcomes without relying on formal authority.
  • Practical daily experience using AI-assisted tools such as Claude, Copilot, GPT, or similar, with concrete examples of how AI has changed work practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical situations and distinguish when to escalate from when to resolve directly.
  • Experience managing matrixed teams and working globally.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical or engineering field.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience in digital health, life sciences, or another highly regulated technology environment.
  • Familiarity with GxP, ICH GCP, FDA 21 CFR, GDPR, or similar standards in a delivery context.
  • Global delivery experience across geographies and time zones.
  • Experience creating or improving delivery management practices from scratch.
  • Pharmaceutical industry or clinical trial platform experience.
  • Prior work as a software engineer, technical lead, solutions architect, or in a comparable hands-on technical role.
  • Experience managing delivery financials, including budgets, forecasts, and resourcing models.

Responsibilities

  • Break complex, cross-team initiatives into technically coherent plans based on architecture, services, integrations, and data flows.
  • Identify, map, actively manage, and drive resolution of dependencies across engineering teams, platforms, and external partners.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and technical planning discussions; question and pressure-test engineering estimates, sequencing, and trade-offs.
  • Anticipate integration, environment, and release risks, including APIs, shared services, data migrations, and CI/CD constraints, and coordinate work to reduce them.
  • Translate engineering realities into product and business outcomes so leadership can assess technical feasibility and risk.
  • Own complex, multi-functional initiatives from framing through execution to value realization.
  • Identify and resolve risks and blockers early rather than merely tracking them.
  • Lead initiative governance by defining appropriate cadences, metrics, and participants.
  • Maintain integrated delivery plans grounded in the actual technical work.
  • Manage resources and delivery plans with accountability to the Delivery Director and Head of Delivery Excellence.
  • Ensure products are delivered with high quality and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
  • Use AI tools in daily work to generate status summaries, analyze delivery and engineering data, draft customer communications, and identify patterns across initiatives.
  • Build and promote AI-assisted delivery practices, including automating routine reporting and surfacing technical risks earlier.
  • Review AI-generated output critically and ensure communications are accurate and clear.
  • Keep up with advances in AI-assisted work management and apply them to practical team improvements.
  • Drive continuous planning with Product and Engineering leadership and maintain a unified portfolio view.
  • Use data-driven metrics and performance monitoring to track delivery maturity and connect outcomes to product and business value.
  • Track budgets, flag variances, and support informed resourcing decisions.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Design Leads, and Customer Implementation Leads to align on outcomes and accountability.
  • Resolve conflicting needs between Development and Customer Implementation teams professionally.
  • Build trusted relationships across product and engineering teams, navigate organizational and technical complexity, and represent delivery in leadership forums.
  • Lead retrospectives and systemic improvements, distinguish significant impediments from day-to-day activity, and promote accountability for outcomes.

Benefits

  • Short-term incentive bonus opportunity.
  • Eligibility to participate in an equity-based long-term incentive program for salaried roles.
  • Retirement contribution for hourly roles.
  • Commission payment eligibility for sales roles.
  • Qualified retirement program (401(k) plan).
  • Paid vacation and holidays.
  • Paid leaves.
  • Medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage.
