At RBC Borealis, you'll lead the delivery of AI and ML solutions within a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working closely with engineering, product management, ML researchers, cloud teams, and advisory groups. In this role, you'll drive cross-functional execution, align stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of initiatives that create measurable value for RBC clients. The Lumina AI/ML team is leading the development of a next-generation platform that enables teams across RBC to build innovative solutions. Our mission is to empower customers to create transformative AI and ML capabilities using data securely housed in our compliant data platform, unlocking new and differentiated experiences for their customers while accelerating RBC’s AI-driven digital transformation. The ML Delivery Engineer is responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of machine learning initiatives, ensuring alignment between engineering teams, stakeholders, and organizational priorities. This is a unique opportunity to grow in the world of machine learning platform and work with a team of passionate individuals committed to the mission of bringing ML to enterprise.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in delivery management and technical program management
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering or ML delivery teams
  • Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies with hands-on sprint planning and execution
  • Experience with JIRA for epic/story management, sprint tracking, and delivery metrics
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Understanding of ML/AI workflows and engineering delivery lifecycles
  • Familiarity with infrastructure concepts, monitoring, and operational support models
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical deliverables
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with compliance and governance frameworks in a regulated environment

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with ML platforms (Databricks, SageMaker, Azure ML)
  • Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions (e.g., Grafana, Power BI)
  • Experience with infrastructure chargeback and cost management
  • AWS or Azure cloud certifications
  • Background in SRE or platform engineering support models

Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead cross-functional AWS/Azure ML delivery teams
  • Define and communicate feature roadmaps and execution plans
  • Translate business requirements into actionable engineering deliverables
  • Coordinate with Cloud team on infrastructure alignment
  • Organize service enablement execution across Cloud Governance, Security, Engineering, and Product teams
  • Lead cloud onboarding processes for new changes and deployments
  • Resolve chargeback issues and manage cross-team coordination
  • Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Manage JIRA epics, stories, sprints, and delivery metrics
  • Coordinate and facilitate sprint demos to showcase team progress
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Manage PAM and application attestations
  • Lead disaster recovery planning and test execution
  • Oversee application maintenance and infrastructure chargeback operations
  • Manage monitoring operations and ensure system reliability
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation for L1/L2 SRE support teams
  • Build and maintain dashboards for information availability and reporting
  • Maintain architecture documentation and technical content
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and documentation standards across teams
