About The Position
The Delivery Helper under general supervision, performs varied warehouse duties in the filling of orders and delivery of supplies in the Food Service Department. This position reports to Warehouse Lead or Food Service Supervisor.
Requirements
- Current valid California Driver’s license in good standing
- Organization’s Safe driving practices & safety policy
- Storage and handling of food service supplies and materials
- Operate motor vehicle safely
- Learn to operate a forklift
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Keep simple records
- Make simple arithmetic calculations
- Work effectively with others in a diverse environment
Responsibilities
- Loads supplies on truck or cart
- Delivers food stuff and supplies to food stands within the Zoo or Safari Park
- Obtains stock from food stands for storage in warehouse
- Keeps warehouse areas and shelves in clean and orderly condition
- Keeps records of supplies delivered
- Assists in setting-up and stocking food stands
- Operates trucks and forklifts
