About The Position
Domino’s Pizza is seeking Delivery Experts to deliver orders within a designated area and help with general store team duties. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for career advancement, including potential growth into management. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Delivery Experts deliver products by car to customers’ doors and may deliver flyers and door hangers. Store responsibilities shared by team members include operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The job involves working in a store and making deliveries in varying weather. Team members may encounter temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies and orders, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, and reaching. Delivery routes may include private homes, multi-story buildings, and other sites, including locations requiring navigation of five or more flights of stairs.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must be able to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to perform the physical duties described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying, pushing or pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching.
- Must be able to deliver pizzas in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car within the designated delivery area and bring orders to customers’ doors.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate store equipment.
- Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders, including entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Navigate delivery locations, including adverse terrain, private homes, and multi-story buildings.
