About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers pizzas and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also involves delivering flyers and door hangers and performing general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position requires customer-service and communication skills, accurate order processing and monetary change, basic arithmetic, computer or touch-screen order entry, and the ability to navigate to delivery addresses and handle challenging terrain and stairs. Work involves standing and walking for much of the shift, lifting and carrying supplies and products, and exposure to varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, moving parts, and sometimes adverse weather.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone.
• Be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Have motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately and ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and stairs, while carrying products.
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling trays, reaching, bending, occasional crouching or squatting, climbing, and driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area, including carrying products to the customer's door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate delivery locations, including multi-story buildings, stairs, and other adverse terrain.
