About The Position

Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to deliver products to customers within a designated delivery area. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for career advancement, including potential progression to management or franchise ownership. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. In addition to delivery duties, team members may operate store equipment, stock ingredients and supplies, prepare products, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory, complete paperwork, and clean equipment and the facility. The position involves customer and coworker communication, order entry by computer keyboard or touch screen, handling payments, and navigating delivery locations, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain. Work takes place in a pizza store and on delivery routes. Conditions may include adverse weather, changing temperatures, hot surfaces and tools, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The work involves extended standing and frequent reaching, along with walking, carrying, lifting, pushing, bending, and occasional climbing or squatting. Delivery may require carrying pizzas and beverages and climbing five or more flights of stairs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by telephone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Ability to carry out repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, reaching, bending, occasional squatting, and climbing stairs or a ladder.
Ability to work in conditions involving adverse weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Ability to talk and hear on the telephone; near-, mid-range, far, and night vision; depth perception; and ability to distinguish hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Navigate to addresses, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
Operate store equipment and use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products.
Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Handle payments and make correct monetary change.
