About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers pizzas and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, taking inventory and completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position involves customer and coworker communication and work both independently and with a team.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Ability to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers and comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and take and process orders by phone.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to carry product while walking and climbing, and to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, reaching, bending, and occasional crouching or climbing.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, deal with people, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area, including carrying products from the vehicle to the customer’s location.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete associated paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
• Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders and handle payment accurately.
• Navigate to customer addresses and delivery sites, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, and stairs.
• Unload and stock bulk product deliveries using a hand truck.
• Work with customers and coworkers, perform repetitive tasks, and meet quality-control standards.
