About The Position

Loffredo Fresh Foods is hiring a local delivery driver for its Davenport, Iowa branch. The driver delivers food and produce to customers and is often the Loffredo team member customers interact with most. The role involves providing professional customer service, checking orders for accuracy, inspecting products for damage, and maintaining accurate delivery records. Drivers handle freight and unload products using a ramp and hand dolly. The position may be filled by a non-CDL driver or a driver with a Class B CDL; the vehicle is a box truck for non-CDL drivers and a straight truck for Class B CDL drivers. Routes begin early in the morning and continue until complete.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid interstate-eligible driver's license.
• Be able to work early morning hours, approximately 2 AM–4 AM depending on the route.
• Have access to reliable and punctual transportation.
• Pass a background check, including a sex offender registry check.
• Be willing to recertify a DOT medical card and pass a DOT drug screen.
• Pass a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) and Clearinghouse full query.
• Be able to read and write English.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy with delivery orders.
• Be comfortable driving a box truck as a non-CDL driver or a straight truck with a Class B CDL.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles and follow safety guidelines.
• Deliver products and communicate professionally with customers.
• Check orders for accuracy, inspect products for damage, and keep accurate delivery records.
• Unload products using a ramp and hand dolly.
• Drive and unload in varying weather conditions.
