About The Position

The Delivery Driver performs general duties involving operation of equipment; stocking and rotating ingredients from deliveries to storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role also involves safely driving the employee’s own vehicle to deliver products and navigating roads, maps, adverse terrain, and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.

On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. Customer service requires communicating verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers, by phone and in person. The role requires basic arithmetic to make accurate monetary change; a calculator may be used.

Requirements

• Ability to safely drive own vehicle.
• Ability to navigate roads and maps, and to manage adverse terrain and stairs while carrying products.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers, over the phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, climb ladders or stairs, stoop or bend, crouch or squat, reach, and grasp with hands to use machines, tools, equipment, and work aids.
• Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and conditions inside and outside.
