About The Position

Paramount Parts, a locally owned and operated NAPA Auto Parts store established in 2002, has grown significantly from its humble beginnings. It now operates as the largest single NAPA store in North America, combining NAPA Auto Parts and Traction Heavy Duty Parts under one roof. With over 50 staff and 300 years of combined experience among its parts professionals, Paramount Parts is dedicated to serving the Fort McMurray community with exceptional customer service. The Delivery Driver position is a full-time role responsible for picking, verifying, loading, and delivering orders safely using various company vehicles, while also assisting with warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of driving history.
  • Have a valid class 5 Driver’s License or higher.
  • Be able to provide a 3 year drivers abstract showing no more than 2 infractions in the last 3 years AND no suspensions.
  • Have a minimum of 3 consecutive years of documented insurable driving history with NO lapses.
  • Acceptable coverage includes: Personal auto insurance as the primary named insured, or Continuous coverage under and employer's commercial fleet policy.
  • NOTE: Being listed as a secondary driver on another individual's personal auto policy does not qualify as continuous primary insurance history.
  • 3 years of driving experience in all weather conditions.
  • Read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Canadian citizen or permanent residency.
  • Must be physically able to lift in excess of 50 lbs and work in indoor and outdoor conditions throughout the calendar year.

Nice To Haves

  • Driver Training or Defensive Driving and / or Professional driver training is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Pick orders daily, verify orders before leaving the store, load, and unload deliveries.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
  • Be vigilant and represent the Company in a professional and cost-effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Operate delivery vehicles in all types of weather conditions safely.
  • Pick parts and products from warehouse, load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles.
  • Deliver a variety of parts and products to different business locations following a variety of routes throughout the region.
  • Adhoc warehouse duties as required.
  • Follow prescribed routes as outlined by Dispatcher and ensure deliveries arrive on time.
  • Complete all necessary pre-trip inspection reports.
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism.
  • Adhere to all provincial and federal motor vehicle regulations.
