About The Position

Delivery Drivers deliver food by car to customers within a designated delivery area and bring orders to the customer's door. The role also includes general store team-member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Flexible scheduling is offered, and opportunities for advancement may include management and franchise ownership.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to a reliable vehicle insured in the driver's name and with valid registration.
Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers by phone and in person.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to stand, walk, sit for paperwork, lift and carry supplies, push or pull trays, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during deliveries; delivery routes may require climbing five or more flights of stairs.
Ability to work around varying temperatures and weather, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Adequate vision and hearing for telephone and in-store work, including far and night vision for driving.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers and carry orders to their doors.
Navigate to addresses within the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Follow written and verbal instructions and communicate with customers and co-workers.
Unload and move deliveries, including using a hand truck to move cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
