About The Position

This position delivers General Beer products to assigned retail accounts in a professional and efficient manner. The driver is also responsible for rotating and merchandising products, maintaining freshness, and providing courteous customer service. Drivers check vehicle readiness, verify truckloads with warehouse personnel, deliver presold orders, stock shelves and storage areas, place point-of-sale materials as directed, check merchandise with receiving staff, safeguard company property and payments, and complete required records accurately. General Beverage Sales Co. is a family-owned business-to-business wholesale distributor established in 1933. It serves licensed retail customers throughout Wisconsin and employs 900 people statewide. The position offers a starting wage of $28–$31 per hour based on experience (the posting also lists an excellent starting wage of $29–$31 per hour), a $3,000 sign-on bonus, and no weekend work.

Requirements

Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

Valid Wisconsin driver's license with Class A CDL certification.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and lift test.

Responsibilities

Check that the vehicle is trip-ready before leaving the distribution center.
Count the daily truckload with warehouse personnel and verify it against the load sheets.
Deliver presold products to retail accounts.
Park the vehicle without interfering with the customer's business.
Rotate products and stock shelves, coolers, and storage rooms as needed.
Merchandise products being delivered and displayed.
Place point-of-sale materials at accounts as directed.
Rotate products, including back-room inventory, on a first-in, first-out basis to ensure freshness and comply with the General Beer Fresh Beer Policy.
Check in merchandise with the responsible receiving individual at each delivery.
Provide professional and courteous service.
Safeguard and account for company invoices, cash, checks, other forms of payment, and company property under the driver's control.
Complete internal control records, invoices, and reports properly and accurately.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
