About The Position

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up pharmaceuticals and durable medical equipment to various facilities such as nursing homes and assisted living centers. This role requires adherence to infection control practices, proper handling of equipment, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and pickups. The driver will also assist facilities with delivery-related inquiries and ensure the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle. A strong understanding of traffic laws and organizational policies is essential.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • Current TN State Driver’s License
  • Current Automobile Insurance

  • Previous delivery experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivers and picks-up pharmaceuticals and durable medical equipment to nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, etc.
  • Recognizes and implements infection control practices.
  • Bags and tags dirty equipment prior to transport.
  • Places stock on shelves or racks and truck.
  • Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
  • Assists facilities with questions and/or concerns about deliveries.
  • Cleans inside of truck.
  • Follows all traffic laws.
  • Participates in on-going education, including in-services, and other activities, to maintain and improve individual competence.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient information to comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Adheres to the principles and standards of the Employee Standards and Code of Conduct and reports any violations.
