About The Position

The Delivery Driver works in a fast-paced store environment, helping deliver pizzas to customers as quickly and safely as possible while supporting efficient store operations. The role is suited to motivated, competitive people with strong customer-service and communication skills who can multitask and respond to business needs. Daytime and evening shifts are available, and schedules may range from one to five or six shifts per week. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The company describes opportunities for advancement from delivery and customer-service positions into management and franchise ownership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle, proof of insurance, a valid driver's license, and a safe driving record.
• Ability to read maps and navigate to designated locations.
• Ability to understand and provide correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and take and process orders using verbal, writing, and telephone skills.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work under stress, make judgments and decisions, and satisfy unhappy customers.
• Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, and frequent reaching and hand use.

Responsibilities

• Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; complete required paperwork; and clean and maintain equipment and the facility.
• Read maps, navigate to designated locations, locate addresses, and deliver products using a personal vehicle, including across adverse terrain.
• Follow safe-driving practices and training on delivering products safely and avoiding road hazards and distractions.
• Communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone to process orders and address customer concerns.
• Handle product deliveries and supplies, including unloading, carrying, stocking, and moving items and trays.
• Work independently and with others, complete repetitive tasks, and meet quality-control standards.
