Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Delivery Driver is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering customer orders in a professional and timely manner. Requirements

  • Confidence using computer based delivery management software
  • Ability to communicate effectively over text, phone and email
  • Hold a valid Class G driving license (Z class endorsement an asset, but not required)
  • Minimum of 3-year experience driving dock level vehicles
  • Minimum 3-year experience operating forklift (recertification can be provided)
  • Comfortable driving large vehicles with tailgate (Hino L7)
  • Client oriented & customer service focused; good listener towards customers delivery requirements
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • Be able to handle loads over 50lbs
  • Good knowledge of spoken English is required

  • Experience with trailer an asset

Responsibilities

  • Sign into and update Geotab digital GPS log daily
  • Preform multipoint vehicle inspection daily using digital log
  • Verify and pack orders designated for your delivery vehicle
  • Load vehicle with forklift, properly secure load and tie down truck curtains
  • Read and consider any special delivery notes/instructions
  • Work in team with warehouse supervisor and sales determine delivery routes
  • Enter delivery details into computer system for trackability
  • Call customers to confirm delivery locations and times as required
  • Deliver the goods within the required time frame, at the right location, at the right customer
  • Unload and place the material as per customers' preferences; pick up returns as required
  • Obtain digital POD and capture delivery pictures
  • Deal with route and itinerary changes
  • Assist with Warehouse tasks as assigned when delivery schedule is light or completed for the day.
  • Keep a well maintained, clean and tidy vehicle
