About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may deliver flyers and door hangers. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and must navigate to addresses in the area, including private homes, multi-story buildings, and other delivery sites. The role also includes general store team member duties, which may involve operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record that meets company standards, along with access to an insured vehicle suitable for deliveries. Drivers need map-reading and navigation skills and must be able to carry products while walking and climbing, including potentially navigating five or more flights of stairs. The work involves varied physical tasks and exposure to changing weather and store conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, private homes, other delivery sites, and multi-story buildings.
• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and take and process orders.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, crouching, and occasional stair or ladder climbing.
• Ability to work independently and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.

• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Carry products during deliveries and travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
• Navigate delivery sites, including stairs and multi-story buildings.
