About The Position
Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to deliver orders within a designated area. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for career advancement, including potential paths into management and franchise ownership. New team members receive on-the-job orientation and training. In addition to delivery work, team members may operate store equipment, stock ingredients, prepare products, take and process orders, complete inventory and paperwork, and clean equipment and the facility. The position involves interacting with customers and coworkers, using a computer keyboard or touch screen, and navigating delivery locations, including multi-story buildings and other challenging terrain. The work includes driving and delivering food, sometimes in adverse weather and at night, as well as standing, walking, carrying, lifting, reaching, and occasionally climbing stairs or ladders. Store conditions may include hot surfaces and equipment, cooler temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, and moving mechanical parts.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must be able to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Must be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Must be able to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Must have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Must have the motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with the eyes, hands, and fingers.
- Must be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Must be able to meet strict quality-control standards, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, and make judgments and decisions.
- Must be able to carry out physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, reaching, bending, and occasional climbing.
- Must be able to carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds and deliver pizzas and beverages.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders, and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Navigate delivery locations, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other sites.
- Unload and stock ingredient and supply deliveries, using a hand truck as needed.
