About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers customer orders by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may distribute flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing orders, completing inventory paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Domino’s describes flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement, including management and franchise ownership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately, and ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, and frequent reaching and hand use.
• Must be able to drive in conditions that may include varying and sometimes adverse weather; far and night vision are required for driving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area; a team member may make several deliveries per shift.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment; stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage and work areas; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete associated paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Use maps and other navigational skills to locate addresses and travel through delivery sites, including multi-story buildings.
• Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during deliveries.
• Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders and communicate with customers and co-workers by phone and in person.
