About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients from the delivery area in storage and work areas, prepares products, receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, and completes related paperwork. The role also includes cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The job requires navigating the designated delivery area and varied delivery locations, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other sites, while carrying products. The role involves communicating with customers and co-workers in person and by phone, processing orders, handling payments, and entering orders using a keyboard or touchscreen.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and over the phone.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
