About The Position

The Night Owl Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for safe and timely delivery of product to job sites at night, executing the Companys Night Owl Delivery Service.

Requirements

A minimum of one-year experience in a driving position is preferred.
Experience with forklift and ability to maintain forklift certification.
Eligible driving record per the Companys Safety Rating Program.
Ability to drive a range of vehicles, from small pick-up truck to 2-ton/5-speed flatbed diesel truck.
Must be 21 years of age to meet auto insurance requirements.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to interact with employees, customers and vendors in a professional manner.
Understanding of safe warehouse and job site practices.
Self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

Operate Company vehicle safely and courteously while following the rules of the road.
Verify the daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle and report any problems with the vehicle to the Warehouse Manager.
Keep the interior of the trucks clean, organized, and safely maintained.
Comply with all DOT requirements and company policy regarding safety and compliance.
Pre-plan deliveries and routes to ensure maximum efficiency and timing deadlines.
Manifest jobs in the sequence of order delivery to ensure prompt notifications to our customers.
Compare paperwork with product on truck to ensure accuracy of orders.
Inspect and secure all loads on truck.
Load product (using both a forklift and hand loading) onto trucks, including items such as boxes, ladders, strut, etc.
Hand unload and deliver products/orders to specified job sites as part of a multi-stop route.
Place product into secured job boxes at job sites.
Take pictures of deliveries made using Innovo phone app.
Lock (secure) job boxes once delivery is complete.
Note any discrepancies and report them to the Warehouse Manager as soon as possible.
Promptly pick up any return product (as needed) and ensure that the product is delivered to the appropriate department for processing.
