Delivery Driver - Southern California
About The Position
Kiva Confections is hiring a delivery driver to deliver cannabis products to dispensaries throughout Southern California. The role is part of a growing operation and involves spending most of the workday on the road. The driver communicates with a manager about daily deliveries, prepares and verifies orders, completes scheduled deliveries, collects and counts payments, processes orders on an iPad, plans efficient routes, and helps maintain inventory and delivery vehicles. The driver is expected to interact professionally and courteously with customers and to adapt to changing priorities. The position covers Southern California and involves driving in all weather conditions, long-distance driving, and potentially long work hours. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times varying from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.; some overnight deliveries may be required. The employee must be able to drive a large van or truck and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Compensation is $23 per hour.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of delivery experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
- Must meet Kiva's motor vehicle requirements.
- Valid California driver's license.
- Excellent driving record.
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Comfort using an iPad and personal cell phone for vendor communication.
- Ability to drive in all weather conditions and tolerate long-distance driving and long work hours.
- Ability to safely drive a large van or truck.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, talk or hear, reach, and climb or balance; frequent sitting, walking, and stooping.

Responsibilities
- Communicate with the manager regarding daily deliveries.

- Confirm and pack all orders.
- Deliver orders to dispensaries throughout Southern California while meeting scheduled appointments.
- Confirm order accuracy with customers and verify orders against invoices.
- Collect payments and accurately count cash.
- Process order completion in the field using an iPad.
- Handle materials weighing 50–55 pounds.
- Create efficient driving routes.
- Maintain inventory and delivery vehicles.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the manager.
