About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients from the delivery area in storage and work areas, prepares products, and receives and processes telephone orders. The role also involves taking inventory, completing related paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The position requires navigating the designated delivery area and varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products. It also involves communicating with customers and co-workers in person and by phone and entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by phone.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain while carrying products.
