About The Position

Deliver assigned products to customers safely, professionally, and courteously. The role includes invoicing and, when instructed, collecting customer payments. Drivers inspect and maintain their vehicles, keep the truck clean, protect the load, and follow company procedures and applicable highway and safety regulations. They properly deliver and put away orders according to company standards, document deliveries and obtain signatures, and reconcile assigned loads with receipts and invoices when collecting payment. Drivers may work with salespeople and merchandisers to meet customer expectations and perform other duties assigned by their supervisor. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, starting at 5:00 a.m., with four 10-hour shifts. In addition to regular pay, drivers are eligible for annual safety incentives.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.
Good communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
Ability to multitask, work independently and/or as part of a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.
Must be cleared to lift 50 pounds and/or move up to 250 pounds.
Ability to use a handcart and pallet jack.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in a related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate a vehicle and deliver assigned orders.
Inspect the vehicle before and after use, log inspections, and report maintenance requirements.
Maintain the vehicle and clean the inside of the delivery truck daily.
Follow company policies, procedures, highway rules, and regulations to maintain vehicle safety and protect the load.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
Manage customer relationships and interact safely and responsibly with the public.
When applicable, collect customer payments and reconcile the assigned load with receipts and delivery invoices.
Invoice deliveries properly, obtain appropriate signatures, and maintain proper delivery documentation.
Follow established safety rules and regulations.
When assigned, work with salespeople and merchandisers to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Deliver orders properly and put products away according to company standards.
Handle products responsibly and contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
