About The Position
The Delivery Driver delivers completed food orders safely and undamaged, while providing customers with a positive experience. Drivers must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license in good standing, meet Domino’s driving-record standards, and provide and maintain auto liability insurance. Driving records and insurance are reviewed before employment and monthly thereafter. When not making deliveries, the driver is trained to take orders by phone, face to face, and computer. The role also includes cash handling, store cleaning and stocking, and other duties similar to those of entry-level employees. Drivers use and properly store Domino’s-issued equipment, including car toppers, hot bags, and jackets. The work may involve adverse weather and road conditions. Drivers may also unload and move product deliveries using a hand truck, lift and stack supplies, carry dough trays, and push stacks of trays on dollies.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license in good standing (not suspended, revoked, or restricted).
- Driving record must meet Domino’s standards.
- Must provide proof of auto liability insurance before beginning employment and maintain it; insurance is reviewed monthly.
- Must accurately take orders by phone, face to face, and computer.
- Must handle cash effectively, reconcile funds, and make correct change.
- Must be able to perform the physical tasks described, including handling deliveries and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Complete food orders before leaving the store.
- Know the store’s delivery area and read area maps.
- Drive safely to and from delivery locations and deliver undamaged products.
- Greet customers in the restaurant or at their homes and project a positive image.
- Take pizza orders when not making deliveries, including phone, face-to-face, and computer orders.
- Handle cash, make cash drops, reconcile funds, and provide correct change.
- Use, display, return, and properly store issued equipment, including car toppers, hot bags, and jackets.
- Help keep the store clean and stocked and perform duties similar to other entry-level employees.
- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck; lift and stack supplies, carry dough trays, and move tray stacks on dollies.
