About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas and beverages to customers within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also performs general store-team duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, and preparing products. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position involves communicating with customers and coworkers, taking and processing orders, handling payments, and working in a fast-paced environment with strict quality standards. Work takes place in a pizza store and on delivery routes. Conditions can include adverse weather, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include standing, walking, driving, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand use. Delivery work may require navigating multi-story buildings and carrying products up five or more flights of stairs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must be able to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate the designated delivery area, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make rapid, accurate movements with the eyes, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during deliveries.
• Ability to lift and handle cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform the listed physical tasks, including standing, walking, driving, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand use.
• Far and night vision for driving; near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces for store tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform other store-team duties, including outside tasks such as removing trash and couponing.
