About The Position

Domino’s Pizza is hiring Delivery Experts for its Los Angeles County locations. Drivers deliver orders to customers and also perform in-store duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Delivery drivers with strong customer service skills can earn $14–$25 or more per hour, including tips; mileage reimbursement is provided in addition to hourly pay and tips. The role offers opportunities to grow within the company.

The position involves working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and making multiple deliveries during a shift. Duties may require standing for most tasks, walking between the store, vehicle, and customer locations, driving in the designated delivery area, carrying food and supplies, and navigating stairs or other delivery-site terrain. The work environment may include adverse weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching.

Requirements

• Solid customer service skills.
• Ability to work quickly and energetically while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Must have held a USA driver’s license for two years.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Excellent driving record.
• Access to a safe, clean, reliable, insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
• Acceptable employment and personal history; background checks are required.
• Ability to comprehend and provide correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with speed and accuracy.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, driving, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling, climbing stairs, and bending and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Deliver products by car and to customers’ doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Use verbal and written communication to process orders with customers and coworkers, over the phone and in person.
• Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
• Navigate to addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Unload and stock bulk product deliveries using a hand truck.
