About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may distribute flyers and door hangers. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and must use navigational skills to locate addresses and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites. The role also includes general store team-member duties, which may include operating equipment; stocking ingredients; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. Other duties may arise and duties listed in the Customer Service Representative description may also apply.

The role involves working in a store environment with exposure to changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and sometimes adverse weather. Physical work includes standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies and products, pushing or pulling trays, occasional climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching. During deliveries, drivers carry pizzas and beverages and may need to climb five or more flights of stairs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and delivery sites, while carrying product.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and take and process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching; deliveries may require climbing five or more flights of stairs.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate to delivery addresses, including through adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Perform other duties as needed, including duties covered in the Customer Service Representative description.
