About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general hourly store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The position requires customer and coworker communication, order entry, basic arithmetic and making change, and the ability to navigate delivery areas and carry products to customer locations. The work involves driving, walking, climbing stairs, and working in varying weather and store temperatures, as well as performing the physical tasks described in the posting.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain and delivery sites, including multi-story buildings and private homes.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to perform the physical demands described, including carrying products and navigating stairs; deliveries may require climbing five or more flights of stairs.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to work in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions and in store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from delivery areas into storage and work areas.
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Navigate delivery locations, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other sites.
• Carry pizzas, sides, and beverages between the store, vehicle, and customer locations.
