About The Position

The Delivery Driver is an hourly store team member at 5 STAR PIZZA LLC. The role includes operating store equipment, stocking and preparing products, processing orders, completing inventory paperwork, and cleaning the store and equipment. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The work may involve exposure to varying weather and store temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Most tasks are performed standing, with some walking and paperwork completed seated. The role also includes handling deliveries and supplies, sometimes using a hand truck, and occasionally navigating stairs or climbing a ladder.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to handle deliveries that may include cases weighing up to 50 pounds and stack them on shelves up to 72 inches high.
• Ability to stand for most tasks and occasionally carry, push, or pull supplies and trays.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Occasionally navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance.
