About The Position

We are looking for a dependable and motivated Brewery Delivery Driver to support our brewery operations. This non-CDL role is responsible for delivering beer to local taprooms and accounts, as well as hauling supplies and materials between brewery buildings. This position plays a key role in ensuring our beer and operations move efficiently and safely from one place to another.

Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License (Non-CDL) required with clean driving record.
  • MVR Background check is required.
  • Ability to work effectively with all parts of the brewery team
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times with customers
  • Knowledge of how to operate lift gates, electric pallet jacks as relevant to vehicle and delivery location
  • Having a basic understanding of core lineup of Big Grove beers and able to answer customer/account questions as needed
  • Strict adherence to alcohol laws in regards to delivery times, signatures and age verification where applicable
  • Precise handling of invoices and efficient mapping of routes to ensure timely deliveries
  • Ability to handle impromptu situations, such as short shipment timelines, damaged product or customer dispute on product delivery
  • Contribute to and exemplify Big Grove values, vision, standards, and culture.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and climbing in and out of the truck and across loading docks, warehouse floors, and customer delivery areas.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of product (including kegs and cases); ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with heavier items moved using team lifts and/or material-handling equipment.
  • Repetitive movement including bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, gripping, and twisting while loading/unloading, securing product, and completing deliveries.
  • Manual dexterity and grip strength required to handle kegs, cases, hand trucks/dollies, pallet jacks, straps, and door mechanisms.
  • Stair and ramp navigation while moving product using a hand truck or dolly in varied environments (tight spaces, uneven surfaces, curbs).
  • Sustained physical activity for extended periods, including working at a fast pace during peak delivery windows.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and (if trained) forklifts; requires coordination, balance, and situational awareness.
  • Tolerance for environmental conditions such as temperature changes, outdoor weather exposure during deliveries, and moderate to loud noise in brewery/warehouse areas.
  • Prolonged sitting and driving: Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a delivery vehicle, with frequent stops that require transitioning in and out of the vehicle throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load, secure, and unload product to prevent damage during transport, frequently lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.
  • Deliver kegs, packaged beer, and other brewery products to taprooms and local accounts in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules, adjusting as needed for traffic, weather, and customer needs.
  • Transport brewing supplies, packaging materials, and equipment between brewery facilities as directed.
  • Load and unload full and empty kegs safely, including proper stacking, securing, and return organization.
  • Provide professional, friendly service at every stop; verify order accuracy, obtain required signatures, and address basic questions or concerns appropriately.
  • Confirm deliveries, manage invoices/signatures/returns, and ensure all required paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections to confirm the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe working condition; maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
  • Maintain delivery logs and required electronic and/or paper records in accordance with brewery processes.
  • Follow all traffic laws, driving regulations, safety procedures, and brewery policies at all times.
  • Assist with general brewery, warehouse, or packaging tasks as needed.
